CCGX continually rebooting

Hi, I have a customer with an installation where the CCGX is rebooting constantly, about every 2 minutes. System (Multiplus + Pylontech batteries) has been fine for many years, and this behaviour has only started recently.

Because of the reboots, no chance to get VRM access remotely, but also no ability to update the firmware on site (currently on v2.07), as the reboot happens each time before the new version can get installed.

Looking for some advice, please, as to what troubleshooting steps we can take here to stop the constant reboots! Thanks.

You can try disconnecting everything except power and lan and see if it stops rebooting.
If that doesn’t work, follow the reset to defaults process in the manual, using the latest venus build.
If that still doesn’t help, might need an RMA.

It talks about needing firmware version 2.12 or higher, and we’re on v2.07 - is there an alternative approach for older firmware versions? Thanks.

Could it be that the VRM option “reboot when no contact” is enabled?

@marcham -That doesn’t appear to be an option in our version of the firmware (v2.07)!
