I wanted to take a moment to share my positive experience with the recent upgrade to Venus O/S version 3.54 (from O/S version 3.42). I had been noticing null values present for BMS cell references for Min and Max temperatures and voltages, which suggested that something exciting was in the works. When the release was announced, I decided to upgrade despite some earlier issues and rollbacks with previous versions.
I’m happy to report that the upgrade went smoothly without a single glitch, which was a refreshing change from past experiences. This level of efficiency and reliability is a testament to the hard work of both the development team and the beta testers. I’d like to extend my sincere appreciation to everyone involved in bringing this update to to implementation/go-live stage.
That being said, I do have a couple of suggestions for continued improvement:
-
Enhanced Documentation: While the update was seamless for me, I believe some users may still benefit from more detailed release notes or documentation regarding changes. More information on specific updates, particularly those related to BMS, would help users understand the full scope of the improvements.
-
Further BMS Enhancements: Now that the temperature and voltage readings are being populated correctly, I’d love to see more advanced monitoring capabilities, such as real-time alerts for certain thresholds or a more customizable dashboard for BMS data.
-
Continued Stability with Future Updates: As always, keeping the system stable during future updates will be crucial. While 3.54 was excellent, ensuring that this level of performance is maintained in future versions will go a long way toward building and retaining user/installer confidence.
Overall, I’m incredibly pleased with the progress made with this version, and I believe Venus O/S is continuing to evolve in the right direction. Keep up the great work!
Thank you for your dedication to continuous improvement.
