Hi there,
My VE.Bus Smart Dongle reads negative watts as L1 value of AC IN 1.
It’s connected to the MutliPlus II which is also connected to Cerbo GX.
Cerbo GX reads both IN and OUT of L1 and L2 correctly, while VE.Bus Smart Dongle reads messed up values:
It used to work and match Cerbo GX fine.

@ngm011 .
If you remove the dongle from the smart network does it solve the issue?

And how does he read the data without the dongle ?

@Ludo
LX is only suggesting removal from the Smart Network. A fair request. Why network twice?

Because it reads different values, and somebody is trying to find the source of the problem ?

The smart dongle reads and writes to ve bus a few basic things.
It also when there is a GX drops to secondary role and shares its temp and voltage data with the GX.
It doesn’t need to be part of a smart network if there is a GX as it shares the exact same data through the bus.

No luck.
I removed it from VE.Smart Networking and I have reset VE Bus system.
It’s still reading negative value.
However, upon further analysis and comparison with Cerbo’s outputs which are correct it seems there’s some mismatch between AC and DC consumption.
At the relatively the same consumptions here are the values.
Dongle’s values:
Cerbo’s values:
The dongle use to be fine before - no negative values. It seems to me that some of the firmware updates (if not the last one) caused this.
Every device is up to date with the firmwares.

It seems that the latest firmware v1.20 for VE.Bus Smart Dongle fixes this issue.
