Update:
Point 1 is not implemented yet and is discussed in [Dynamic ESS] Add SOC level, below which NOT TO SELL energy to grid, but only support AC loads
Point 2 is solved in the 3.70 beta. The SELF_CONSUME_ACCEPT_BELOW_TSOC was implemented some months ago for this issue which works fine. Loads are now provided with energy even when dess is waiting for the discharge to grid period. No more import at high price.
Because point 1 is the initial problem which I experienced and point 2 is handled in another topic, I mark this conversation as solved.

I experience 2 issues causing unwanted grid usage:
-
When there is more electricity usage during the night than forecasted, electricity in the morning is used from grid instead of battery because dess leaves no margin for extra usage.
-
When the battery is charged fully during the day and dess is waiting for discharging period in the evening, grid instead of battery is used when solar doesn’t provide enough energy.
