Is there a list of which models are supported natively and which ones require NodeRED?
Does the Shelly EM Mini Gen4 require NodeRED as well or ist there some other issue on my end?
Not that I am aware of, perhaps someone else knows.
I also have Shelly Gen3 PM Minis, they don’t show up either.

Are single phase shellys now supported with the full release of 3.70?
Unfortunately, single phase shelly EM’s are not supported yet.
For the Shelly Pro EM50, only the relay will show up and not the EM.
Support for single-phase EM’s will be added in the future.

In addition it might be good to add a note on the blog post (and other documentation) stating that not all devices are fully supported to spare users of searching errors that don’t exist

The 2pm have a bug in their firmware. They stop announcing MDNS after a certain uptime. Just reboot them through the shelly app, then they appear. (May apply for others as well, just noted for the 2pm on a weekly basis)
But with regards for future reliability, add them using a static ip is better.
I hope you will fix this with the role! I’m sure many wants to use a Shelly 1PM with a solar generator and not only as switch, so please let the user decide about the role of the device
I have read most of the replies here and I am still a little confused as to what does, and what does not work…
I have a Shelly EM with a 50A and 120A current clamp. I believe that this is a Gen2 device. It clearly works with MQTT and the HTTP API works as advertised.
The initial Github entry says that there are “Generic Handlers” for EM components but then goes on to show a list of “Tested Devices”. The list shows the Shelly Pro EM50 as a tested device but the 50Amp limit is less than ideal for my whole house installation. There is no firm indication that the Shelly EM (a common purchase) will be ever be supported.
The “Tested Devices” list also shows the Shelly Pro3EM with 120A transducers as tested.
Now, I am in a hurry to get this sorted so…

Apologies for the confusion. The github readme has been updated with recent developments so that information does not reflect what is supported in Venus OS 3.70 anymore. To view the repository readme that corresponds to Venus OS 3.70, check out the v1.13 tag.

Under limitations, it says:
“Single-channel EM devices are not supported (for example Shelly 1 EM Mini Gen4).”
This means that unfortunately, the Shelly pro EM50 is not supported, as well as the Pro3EM in single-channel mode.
can I use a Shelly Pro3EM and only use only one phase?
You can, but the device will only show up when it is configured as a three-phase meter. With the monophase profile selected, it won’t show up.
Will support for single-phase energy meters be added?
Yes. Support for the Shelly EM50, as well as the mono-phase mode of the Pro 3EM will be added in Venus OS 3.80.
Guys is Shelly 1 Gen4 working in 3.7? NOT the mini one, need 12v input.
i´d say all shellys could be integrated trough node red / virtual devices?

And I read even the temperature sensor conected to the addon to heat my water heater to 70°c if “to much sun”

As 63A is closer to what I need (I have storage heaters) then I have just ordered a Shelly Pro 3EM-3CT63. I can get it installed as 3-phase for now and change back to single phase once V3.80 comes out.
In desperation I created a device based on an ESP32 that reads Shelly EM’s over the Wifi link and emulates the Pro3EM Websocket. As the Shelly EM will probably never be supported I might open source it later on.

Just installed 3.70, all my shelly devices are detected (Shelly Plus Uni, Shelly 1 Gen 4), except my 2 units of Shelly Pro 3EM.
Adding by IP is not changing anything. Why these devices are not recognized?
It would be great if you could select the Shelly as the source for the heat pump/electricity meter.
Currently, only Victron meters are compatible.

Some questions I have about this nice release is: can I use a Shelly pro EM as counter?
Also is this possible to make some Shelly to be switched off automatically uppon even:
- Grid lost
- Overload
Without using node red (that I don’t trust) ?
