Yesterday I upgraded to 3.60~46 and love the UI changes, but I was trying to do some work in Node-RED and it was super flaky. It kept disconnecting and giving me a message at the top of VRM saying it was trying to reconnect. Eventually it would, but not for long. The Node-RED UI wouldn’t work at all. I forgot the error message. I rebooted to .54 and everything was back to normal - although now the UI feels old . I don’t imagine ~47 has fixed this yet, but I might try one day soon.
I had connection issues with ~46 too.
Have you checked the logs to be sure it isn’t restarting?
Do you have the reboot on connection lost setting enabled?
Are any modifications loaded?
Can’t say that I have experienced anything like this on the betas, nor seen it connecting to nodered.
There haven’t been many complaints about this, in the broader context, when this has popped up it has typically been related to customisations or intermittent comms to the device.
Changed the title that you split this to, @nickdb, because it’s not ~47 that I had trouble with. I have not installed ~47. It was ~46.
I think the Cerbo keeps all of its settings consistent across upgrade/downgrade, so I think I’m comparing apples to apples here and 54 was stable and 60 was not. I’ve never had the reboot on connection lost setting enabled. With 3.54 it doesn’t reconnect. Ever. It just works as you’d expect. As soon as I installed 3.60~46 it started the behavior I mentioned. No mods loaded.
Go did into the GX logs, see if anything interesting appears in there that might shed some light on the issue.
@Nick, see this other post. Others are having the same issue. I tried again in ~48. The symptoms were different, but I still can’t get into Node-RED. I tried a few things to get it to work without luck. I’m retreating back to 3.54 for now so I can use my flows, but will be happy to test again if anything changes.
Can’t see Venus OS UI via VRM with this beta ( Cerbo S + Large Os )
