Error 67# Communication Loss

Hi All
I have a very similar issue that has occurred since update 3.5> onwards.
I’m using a CCGX with BYD 2.5 B-Box LV Hub (x15) and have had the system running for about 6 years.
I’ve done all the advised fixes with cable checks Firmware Updates to all MPPT’s and Quattro’s etc.
As all have said very randomly drops MPPT’s off for charging but when a reboot is done manages to find them and will run.
Seems to sometimes connect in the mornings back to MPPT’s charging then this morning didn’t connect when the sun arrived?
Is the new UI loading these items up too much now with the CCGX possibly not being able to handle the data?
Is there a patch coming for a new update to rectify?

Thanks Alex

Will give this a try.

Alex, my post was specific to the Cerbo GX MKII and the VE.Can 2 ports. The OP is talking about the CCGX.

Tim, I haven’t yet tried the new UI on a CCGX so I can’t answer your question. But, have you tried using the legacy UI with VenusOS 3.5x? It’s a setting inside of the display settings page. Perhaps the new UI is using more resources as you wonder. Try it and let us know if it makes a difference. Good luck!

Hi Ed
OK. I haven’t but will look to do that. Thanks for the suggestion.
The 3.60> are Betta OS aren’t they? as I can’t see any higher than 3.52 for normal application.

Yes, they are currently beta releases.

The issue will be cpu load and storage space.
The CCGXs struggle with the new firmware. Keep them around v3.41.

Sorry…
The BMS issue started about the same period, so it’s easy to miss some pieces of info.

Yes, I thought that may be the problem.
The CCGX has been around for a while now and with constant updates is like a mobile phone.,sooner or later it will slow down.

So, moving forward I would be best to upgrade to a Cerbo especially for any improvements and upgrades to the system with regard to the updated firmware.

That makes sense. Victron sells an adapter to mount a GX Touch 50 screen in the original CCGX opening. See here: GX Touch 50 adapter for CCGX cut-out - Victron Energy
