Using two Orion XS connected via VE.direct does not work

In my Setup I have two Orion XS with the latest Firmware (1.08) connected to a Cerbo GX (Version 3.6 23) through VE.Direct. One of them works to charge the leisure battery, the other one is used as a standby charger for the vehicle battery when my camper is parked.

When I connect them both to the Cerbo GX via VE.Direct cable their values and numbers hop from one device to the other on VRM and on the Victron Connect APP as well. Even in the new GUI they switch the values all the time. I would expect the two devices to be shown with their individual values and configurations? Also the VRM Devicelist only lists one of them. Same in the GUI V2 Remote Console
I think this needs to be fixed in the software?

Hmm, das ist sehr interessant – I see this issue elsewhere in this community, with no good answer.

And here, there is an answer “remove them from the network” that seemed to fix a similar problem. Note that I have just posted here, to ask for more details on what it means to “remove them from the network”. I am guessing this means that the two chargers were un-plugged from VE.Direct / Cerbo, and so ONLY visible in Victron Connect app, but I am not 100% certain.

Cerbo can only MANAGE ONE battery system.

It can DISPLAY multiple systems with Smartshunts configured as energy meters.

So you’ll have to decide which xs is important for you, disconnect the ve.direct of the other one.

" In the Victron System it is quite common two have multiple charging devices such as the MPPTs connected to one Cerbo Device. "

YES, but all connected to ONE battery system.

For this system your 2. XS is neither a charger nor a power supply but just a load.

Would you pls post answers, not comments?
Makes the thread more readable.

I understand what you are trying to achieve, but you won’t make it running with victron components “as they are”.
