MPPT RS Charge Controllers don't appear on Cerbo GX Device List or VRM

Dear Forum,
I’ve just installed two Quattro 10 kVA (parallel for 120/240 V), two MPPT RS 450/200 charge controllers, Cerbo GX, 7’’ Touchscreen, ten Pytes LFP batteries, lots of solar, Generac 24kVA genset, etc. But the problems are…

  • the two charge controllers do NOT appear on the Cerbo GX Device List, its graphics or on the VRM portal…but they are performing well, and they both appear on the Victron Connect. They are connected via daisy-chained VE Direct cables…which the manual specifically says is compatible with the MPPT RS models. How can they appear on my telephone’s ‘Local’ device list but not on the Cerbo’s display?
  • I cannot locate the often mentioned ‘redetect’ function on the Cerbo GX…the manual mentions its use but not the menu location
  • and similarly, while the two Charge Controllers appear on the VictronConnect list of devices, the two Quattro 10k do not!! They are performing well, appear in the Cerbo’s graphics and Device List, but not the Victron Connect app!
    Any suggestions are appreciated. It is embarrassing to have to explain to the customer that their equipment is working well, but not visible in the VRM Portal or VictronConnect!

Where in the manual does it say this?
The CAN interface can be daisychained, but to the best of my knowledge this DOES NOT apply to the VE-direct port.
Try using the CAN interface, and see if this works better.
