Using a Victron Blue Smart IP65 charger for Lifepo4 sump pump battery

I am considering replacing an old lead acid battery that’s connected to my backup sump pump with a Lifepo4 battery. Can I leave a Victron Blue Smart IP65 permanently connected to a Lifepo4 battery without damaging the battery? If so are there certain settings on the charger that should be changed to do this? I want to leave it connected all the time so if I’m away for an extended time and the power goes out, the charger will start charging again when the power comes back on.

There are few settings for the charger only charge voltage, float and storage. Keeping the battery charged will degrade it. If you capacity test it when you get it and then check it after 12 months, you can measure the damage. You could also check the storage voltage to see what capacity it is 13.5v is the default that will be ~99% full. These chargers will rebulk when there is a power loss.
