Use of Orion XS behind a split charge relay - how is it powered?

Hi
I’m looking at putting in a Orion XS as part of replacing my lead house battery with a LiPo in my 2019 Rapido 896f.

I assume that I currently have a split charge relay and I’m wondering if I can simply leave that in place - which would make things much much easier - and just put the Orion XS next to the new LiPo house battery.

I cannot see any problem with this other than where the B2B gets its power from when the split relay is open i.e. not conducting.

Hence my question i.e. where does the Orion XS take its power from: the leisure battery / the cab battery / both and does it have battery backup?

Cheers
Mark

According to my reading of the manual the unit can be powered from either side so it should work.Thoughts?

Check whether the charger is receiving battery power; this can be on the input and output or both.
