Updating VenusOS on Raspberry Pi

Have a RPi 4B with Venus OS v3.13 and:

  • PackageManager
  • SetupHelper
  • ShutdownMonitor
  • GuiMods
  • TailscaleGX
  • VenusOS-TemperatureService
  • dbus-SerialBattery

Package Manager versions are:

SetupHelper & GuiMods would not update indicating ‘incompatible’ - I assume they can be updated after moving to Venus OS v3.42. Is that correct?

Settings->Firmware->Online updates shows:

Looking at raspberrypi install venus image · victronenergy/venus Wiki · GitHub suggests that a re-image is not required if you are moving from a Venus OS version > v2.90~10.

Is that still correct?

My question is what will I have to reinstall (if any) after I take the option 'Press to update to v3.42?

Sorry to all experiencing issues with GuiMods on recent v3.50 betas. I am aware of the issue and need to update my mods to the generator logic. Unfortunately, I my time is occupied with a home move and have no time to work on the significant changes needed. (SetupHelper continues to function even under the latest betas.)

I just checked and GuiMods is compatible with v3.42.

You should not need to reinstall anything when switching firmware. My packages will reinstall automatically after the update unless you manually uninstall them via SetupHelper or the command line.
