Two MPII Split-Phase system, ACLoads incorrect reporting

Hi,

I have a 120 degree split phase MultiPlus II 5000-70/50 system configured with ESS Assistant. It is a “linear” (off-grid originally) system. Input from grid is connected to the ACIn of both multis. All loads are at ACOut1. I’m using built in meters in MultiPlus devices. System has a 48V battery also.

My problem is that if I switch ON the grid (setpoint -50W for example) the VRM Dashboard (or console, no difference) starts to show WRONG AC Loads values! For example in reality I have ~300W load on L1 and ~80W load on L2 but it shows me ~220-250W load on L1 and 0-20W load on L2!!! This can be for several minutes, then for almost no reason it normalizes for some time and then again drops off.

If I cut the ACIn from grid (using rocker switch, that is mechanically) then the figures reported on AC Loads normalize IMMEDIATELY.

Interestingly when I switch the grid back on, both devices make strange sound - that is some relays are rapidly switched on-off multiple times… then there is a ~10s pause and after that both devices switch relays and “Mains on” LED lits up. Could there still be some phase rotation problem? Or is this behaviour normal?

In addition, the “Inverter on” LEDs are blinking (“Mains on” and “Bulk” are constantly lit). But in case of L2 inverter at some point “Inverter on” stops blinking and stays on for some time.

I use ESS mode 2 (optimized without battery life), multiphase regulation is individual (so that it does not buy from one phase).

Any idea why it keeps showing wrong AC Loads values, up to 100W less per phase?
