Twin Engine Boat-Upgrade to Lithium domestic bank

Hi,

I have a twin engine set up with Alt 1 charging the Starter and Thruster( both Optima Blue) via a spit diode. Alt 2 just charges the domestic bank, this is currently 2 AGM Rolls 6v deep cycles wired in series, these have lasted over 7yrs. I have a Blue Smart IP 22 charger and no solar as I have shore power when moored.

My plan is to route Alt 2 output via an Argofet to an Smart Orion DC/DC and on to Lithium house bank and other feed to the Starter circuit bus bar.

Both Alternators are both 115 AH rated, but i plan to use a smart BMS to only draw 30-40% of potential output to avoid stressing the alternator.

Can an Orion be connected this way, will the Argofet “smooth” the Alternator output?

Will the link to the AGM’s protect alternator if the BMS drops the lithiums out in event of some issue.

I will also need to upgrade fusing to Lynx class T fuses or are Mega fuses sufficent?

Thanks for any advice.
