Installed new Multiplus 3 days ago on boat with 12v system utilizing a house bank of Lifeline AGM batteries and 50 amp shore power. System was configured and working great for two days until I started the engine and Multiplus shut off and will not come back on. Also the power switch is stuck in the on positions and will not budge, with or without cover plate on. No visible signs of shorting or anything out of the ordinary. No apparent reset switch or fuse in these units. Having to now return for warranty. What could have gone wrong?
I’d search contact with the dealer
Additional, how did you configure the multiplus?
Can you tell what you installed more besides the multiplus and the connection to the car battery/charger. Also what type alternator is used on the engine
I have already contacted the dealer and arrange to return this unit. Especially since the on toggle switch is frozen in the on position. This application is on a boat. There is 50 amp shore power coming into the inverter and then going out to the main panel. DC is from a battery bank consisting of four Lifeline AGM batteries at 210ah each run into a Lynx power in. Then through the Lynx Shunt and then into two Lynx distributors. Power from engine alternator is from a 100amp Balmar alternator. There is also one starter battery which is combined with the house bank through a BlueSea ACR combiner for charging both batteries and sensing current for the start. Essencially the Multiplus was put in place of an existing Outback Power 2K inverter charger that has been working fine. I have had to put the Ouback back in place while i deal with the warranty replacement of the Multiplus.
