Inverter Not Powering Up

Multiplus 2 Inverter installed new in May 2024 in power boat not connected to shore power. Equipment - Batteries- 360ah, Victron Energy SmartShunt 500A/50mV (IP65 version), 370 watt LG solar panel, Victron Smart Solar MPPT 100/30 Charge Controller with Bluetooth, Victron Energy Cerbo GX, Victron Energy GX Touch 50

Inverter functioned properly following initial installation and set up.

  1. We turned on inverter, indicating lights came on for both inverter and charger on the top of the inverter.

  2. It did not produce AC. It had functioned properly several weeks ago.

  3. An error message was displayed on Touch 50. #24 System protection initiated. This came up 3 times. Then went away after negative was lifted.

  4. Indicating Lights on for both inverter and charger went on momentarily and then went off for good.

  5. There was a notice on the Touch 50 that inverter was not connected although the Touch 50 lists the inverter. It was once connected.

  6. All connections and fuses were checked.

  7. Pressed "Push button A” – “To perform a startup without assistants” with no joy.

  8. Now inverter won’t turn on at all

Sugestions welcome!

Have you checked your DC power supply, you said fuses and connections, what about isolators if fitted. Have you used a multimeter to check that you have power to the DC terminals in the Multiplus. When this happened to me it was a poor DC isolation switch that was not making contact.

Thanks so much for the response. The voltage at the 3 position power switch at the inverter switched to inverter only reads 10 volts. Will have a look at the thread you provided.
