Temperature sensor precedence

Have:
Multiplus II with Smart Dongle
MPPT 100/50
BMV712 with temperature sensor

All connected in a network with VE Connect.

BMV temp sensor is terminated to positive battery post. Smart Dongle is adhered to side of Multiplus II cabinet for convenience. There is a difference in temperature readout between the two.

Which device provides temperature data to the MPPT Solar Controller? The BMV712 or the Smart Dongle? Is there a way to set the Smart Dongle to not provide temperature and voltage data to network? We only use it for bluetooth connection to Inverter.

You can create a smart network between only the MPPT and BMV. Since the devices are not connected to a GX device, they operate as standalone devices without information sharing until you do the above.

They are currently all on same Smart Network. Will removing the Multiplus creat an issue when both the MPPT and Multiplus are charging at same time?
