Temp sensor ASS000001000 caused sense error at MP-2, but works normal at Cerbo GX

Hi there,
When I connect the Temp sensor ASS000001000, that was shipped with my MultiPlus-II 48/3000/35-32 to its T-sense inputs, the MP-2 displays this error: The Absorption and Float LEDs blink together for several seconds, at the same time the Cerbo GX beeps. Then the error disappears for several seconds, before it whole cycle starts again.
During that time, the temperature readout shows incorrect values with some spikes over 40 °C in a environment that has about 13 °C.

When I connect the same sensor to one of the Cerbo GX (FW v3.54) Temp sensor input, the read out is correct. Therefore I believe the sensor has no defect, but the problem is with the MP-2.
The firmware of the MultiPlus is v4.97.

I found an older report, that describes pretty much the same misbehaviour:
https://communityarchive.victronenergy.com/questions/63755/multiplus-battery-temp-sensor-fault.html

Is this a bug in the MP-2 firmware v4.97? If yes, will it be fixed in latest FW v5.52?
Or can this be caused by some wrong configuration?

I appreciate any help.
Nob

I have a very similar issue. My MPII shows a high voltage at the sensor and calls it “Open Sensor” or the like. The MPII is seeing about 4.8 volts but it should be around 3.1I volts. I thought it was a bad sensor and replaced it but received the same message. I moved the sensor to the Cerbo GX and it works fine. It has to be a hardware defect in the MPII. IMHO

in the meantime I updated my MP–II with firmware 5.52, but the behaviour is still the same:
As soon as I connect the temperature sensor, the orange Absorption and Float LEDs blink together for several seconds.
Looking at the number of responses, I must believe, it is a rare problem, so maybe indeed a hardware defect. I am going to contact nmy Victron dealer…
