Brand new system, worked fine for 6 months but now system will not charge to 100%, starts float charging at 73% on monitor.
Please edit your title and the text.
You tried to put your whole question/problem into the title.
A bit more information about your system. Battery type and size, inverter/ charger type, where is the SOC coming from, the inverter or a BMV or SmartShunt etc.
2 thoughts,
- the SOC is too low because of poor battery monitor settings, the battery is actually full so it is going to float correctly.
- The SOC is correct and you have developed a loose connection somewhere on you inverter to battery cabling. You need a multimeter to check.
Thank you
can you tell me how to check my SOC?
cone. thank you
Not without some more detail of your system. Also some history of what the battery voltage and current are before charging starts and as it goes through absorption and float.
We will try and help, but anything at the moment is a guess.
