System Not Drawing Power from Solar Panels When Connected to the Grid

Hi,
I’m struggling with an issue where, even though the sun is shining on the panels, the system doesn’t draw power from them and instead runs from the grid (see image 1). However, when I switch the system to Inverter Only and disconnect from the grid, it starts drawing energy from the panels (see image 2).

This is a problem for me because my system keeps pulling power from the grid instead of the panels, and it’s quite frustrating :grimacing:. Today alone, it drew 11.5 kWh from the grid (see image 3), even though the sun was shining all day.

I’ve already tried fixing this once by resetting my Cerbo to factory settings, but that’s not a viable solution every time.

Any ideas on how to resolve this? Thanks! :folded_hands:

The float and absorption voltages of the mppt’s should be slightly higher then those of the MP.

And, from version 508 upward you can activate “solar and wind priority” in the mp

Thank you for the information! I will try it and let you know the results.

Hi, just wanted to follow up – I changed the setting to “solar and wind priority” , as you suggested, and now everything works as expected! It no longer pulls power from the grid when the sun is out. Thanks a lot for the tip, really appreciate it!
