Static DHCP Lease for wifi on GX Devices (Cerbo, Ekrano ect.)

Hello…

For shelly color bulb integration, for easy visualize SOC, solar, alarms over color, I like to set the shelly with fixed IP.
On “normal” router this is not a problem, but for small systems without a router I would like to do it on the gx venus wifi network to avoid IP conflicts.

As venus don’t have a setting for Static DHCP Lease yet, it would be my question / suggestion to hard set a IP range usable for devices where fix IP are needed.
This would probably be an easy set. Let’s say a 50 IP range reserved for fix IP use?

I’m not a network expert, so may I miss something? May someone have a easy fix for this?

Thanks for you suggestions.

Silvio

If you are using the cerbo ‘like a router’ in other words connecting the bulb direct to the cerbo access point then the IP stays static. Or at least it has for me.

Are you just using the built in gx shelly integrations or writing your own integration with node red? If you are using node red - use mqtt to integrate then a static ip is no longer needed.

Thanks for this, unfortunately the bulb is not yet supported for direct integration.

I choose the http request option as it was mentioned as “easy” option. Guess if I use MQTT I have to redesign my flows.
But may worth to consider.

Thanks for your fast reply.
