I had this same very issue with two SolarEdge inverters. I ditched the modbus solution and just installed two VM-3P75CT energy meters to have relyable data. For the dynamic powerlimiting i just added some Shelly 1 mini to the RRCR in the SolarEdge.

Sadly cost a bit of money but saves a lot of hasle getting workarounds done.

Hey, I have the same issue here. Asked for a downgrade yesterday… This morning I saw there is a new update available (4.24. 25). Anyone already on that firmware? Is it finally fixed?

Hello - I have a test invertor and just updated to .25 and will let you know how it goes.

I have the same issue and comes back straight away after a cerbo soft reset.

2 days in with .25 and not dropped yet . - Fingers Crossed.

same for me.
installed 4.24.25 on my SE9k , with Veenus V3.80~14.
2 days no problem when SE does it’s reset in the evening, since ~6 month I needed to reset Venus every day
today I made 2 more tests

  1. switch of SE for ~10 minutes
  2. disconnected SE LAN cable for 10 min
    Venus-SE communication recovered without falling into the dropping every 5 min loop.
    Hope this was the fix and not a coincidence :slight_smile: .

Still this Solar Edge problem consists with SW version 04.24.22

Now requesting Solar Edge support to downgrade SW version

Meanwhile installed the Victron Beta version 3.80-21 on the Cerbo GX , and Solar Edge now keeps communicating for already 45 minutes… Keeping fingers crossed!:crossed_fingers:

After a Cerbo reboot my 04.24.22 was also running fine until next evening when SE is making a automatic reset.

Yet, I don’t know if you’re running plain or hybrid inverters.

I’m running as se10k-rws hybrid and suffering communication problems for more than a year now indedendent of the sw versions.

Working home office I had some closer look at this com issues (both modbus tcp AND solredge cloud) and I realized that th problems start at about 3kw going to/commung from the battery

Quick reaction by Solar Edge on my request, they remotely pushed the new version.

Now wait and see if it works for long time periods.

No problems experienced meanwhile!

Have 4.24.25 & V3.80~ running in my home since 8.May, no communication drop.
Only the daily SE reboot causes a <1min “no update” but after this everything is fine again.
