Solar Yield showing as Watts instead of Amps

Hello everyone! Since updating to 3.70 my Solar Yield widget only shows the output in Watts, even when I specify Amps in the Data Units.

As a sailor my mind works in Amps, so I really want to go back to how it was prior to this release (solar yield correctly displayed in amps in 3.67).

Any way to fix this?

Herein lies a can of worms:
Solar Yield should actually be in Wh. (or kWh for larger systems)
What this tile actually displays is “Solar Power” (Current value) This is in W or kW.
So either the Title for the reading should be changed, or the value displayed should be changed. Or the yield should be added to the tile.
What you really need to look at is what the battery is doing, this gives you your value in Amps. But you still need to calculate from the capacity in Ah, how long you have to charge / discharge…
Your data units setting in amps is correctly reflected in the DC loads tile. It could be an oversight that this does not also change the solar tile.

Thanks for the reply. From a clarity / coding point of view, if I set Amps in the unit settings, I would expect that to be respected in everything (AC/DC), especially when it was like that in prior firmware. This override is unexpected and independent from units settings, so not ideal.

What this new version did was adding the “mixed” option for watts in AC and amps in DC. But it should have not changed only amps behaviour. It looks like it broke something, because no matter what I select out of those 3 energy unit options, solar will always be in Watts.

To me this is a bug, it makes not much sense to see everything in amps except solar. If solar can’t let you have amps why have a setting to make everything amps in the first place?

For reference, I see other post mentioning this same exact issue:

Could I get a confirmation if this will be fixed or if the only solution is to roll back to previous firmware?
