Hi everyone I’m a newbie so be gentle i have a 250w solar blanket with the Victron 100/120 controller when I plug the blanket in it goes to boost then a few seconds later goes onto absorption I had 14;1v coming out off the controller but doesn’t seem to be charging the caravan battery (lithium at 51% capacity ) Help

@Marc11 What charge profile / settings on the MPPT are you using? What is the specification of the solar blanket and battery? Finally, can you post a screenshot of the MPPT shwing the PV voltage and other parameters?

Hi I don’t think it has any settings to change the profile on the solar controller and I read the voltage off a multimeter

@Marc11 It is a smartsolar so you can install victronconnect on a mobile device and connect to it via bluetooth to set it up.

Was the 14.1V at the MPPT output terminal or the battery terminal. There are 2 common issues.

  1. There is a poor connection between the MPPT and the battery with a high resistance and voltage drop. Use a multimeter to check both terminals for voltage to find the poor connection.
  2. The battery is turned off by it’s Bluetooth function and is not allowing charge.

Appreciate your help the 14.1 was at the Anderson connection that plugs into the battery

Check the battery terminals then to make sure that they are seeing the 14.1V.
