Solar battery charging

I have 1.5 KW if solar @48v as the boat is electric. The battery will be 100% at tea time and by morning it will be 93%

I can see through the app the solar is putting xkw during the day but the battery % stays the same. Sometime later in the day then app battery % will suddenly jump back up to say 98%. Sometimes it may have put in 7kw during the day but the % will not rise at all.

Equipment is

30kw of pylontech lithium batteries @48v
1.5kw solar panels @52v
Victron smart solar charger mppt 150|35
Venus gx
Victron 8kw inverter/charger

OK
I find that the BMS on my Fogstar battery reports a load of fiction compared to the smart shunt.
There can be up to 45% difference in readings as the BMS doesn’t record low current draws under a couple of amps.
But if yours has worked fine for 2 years that’s not the answer.

From the vrm app. As the pylontech batteries have there own BMS, the victron BMS has been disabled. The system has been working fine for the last 2 years

What have you got chosen in the GX as the battery monitor. Look in settings - system setup - batteries - battery monitor.

If you have the Pylontech chosen then these often jump about a bit between 90% and 100%, function of the Pylontech BMS and nothing you can do about it.

The system was set up by a victron engineer and selected the pylontech as the BMS system. Previously as the solar power increases the victron app % rose according. Even when the battery % was down at 60% the app only only increased by 8% at a time rather than 2% at a time which matched the solar coming in. Yesterday it showed it received 7kw yet the app dropped down from 89% down 82% this morning.
