When using the aux input on a SmartShunt to measure a secondary battery voltage, is there any way to change the name or label shown in Victron Connect?
You can change the name of the smartshunt only. You can’t change any of the names of the displayed values like the aux battery for example.
Go to parameters/system config/batteries/battery measure/smartshunt aux/here you can name your starter battery
Sorry I didn’t see you were talking about the victron connect app. Disregard my comment about the cerbo gx config for smartshunt aux.
Unfortunately not that I’ve been able to find, but I really wish they’d give that option. I have a mostly 24v system and I use the SmartShunt aux to monitor the voltage on the 12v side that powers everything in my RV.
What configuration are you talking about here?
What @Bifop is saying is that you can change the name of the Aux battery within the settings of a GX device interface(Touch, Color Control etc.). You can not change it withing the VictronConnect mobile app. You can only change the name of the device itself.
I get what he’s saying, I just don’t understand what interface he’s talking about because none of those menu names exist on my Cerbo, and there’s no place I can see where you can change the name of the aux input.
Not sure. Never tried it. But I think that’s what he meant.
I’m talking about naming the auxiliary battery that’s connected to the AUX input of the smartshunt.
On the screenshots you can clearly see the path (sorry it’s in french) leading to the name of the battery. Mine is called “Engine”. Of course you have to enable the item with the “Visible” slider.

Well that’s interesting, I’ve been through that menu before and those options weren’t there. I wonder if something changed on my system or if a software update made them show up.
