Smart Solar Mppt 100 | 20 Issue

I have one 100 watt zamp pannel wired to my Victron 100 | 20 smart solar mppt. We have never got a charge off the solar setup.

We have gotten around 4 amperage and 21 voltage readings right off the panel with multimeter and with the wiring that goes into the PV. As wiring is typically the culprit, we also got a new solar 10 awg cable to route the wiring external of the camper and it still won’t work. It seems the panel and wiring isn’t the issue with these tests. We seem to have the expected voltage and amperage running into the controller but get no power from the panel still. I would greatly appreciate help as I’ve spent a lot of time on this so far.

At the bottom just above load output press on “Why is the charger off” It will indicate the reason it is switched off”

Did you check the polarity of the PV wires?

I did get the same message and have checked all these possible issues. I get the same 21 volt / 4 amp reading right near the panel and after the Pv cable run to the controller.

I also bought a new 10 awg wire to use externally to eliminate bad wiring from the equation.

The only fuse is near the panel and would have caused a bad reading Id guess.

I got a negative reading! So it does appear that I have polarity issues. Should I just connect red to negative and black to positive?

I just switched the Pv wires around and it now works. WOW. What a simple thing to mess up on a new camper. Thanks so much for the help!
