Greetings. I have a new RV with a MPPT 100 controller. Also I have 2 Li (Dragonfly) batteries. On my phone app, I see the correct battery voltage, however the solor wattage reads zero. My dealer says that it won’t read until the batteries require charging. As I’m geyting ready for a big trip, off grid, I want to verify that this is correct? Thx, Dan.
Hi if your batteries are full right now, yes you could see zero or almost no wattage from PV
The PV voltage shouldn’t be 0.
The shows 0 if the polarity is wrong or if there is nothing connected.
Yes without it wont work, your positive from your solar panels is missing
I think it just looks strange from that angle.
I would say the green wire is on the PV +.
I think you are right, there is a 4th wire on the left
Can you confirm it is the solar wattage which reads zero?
What solar voltage do you have?
Well… problem solved. Operator error! I didn’t realize that the “Solar Disconnect Switch” off means disconnect and on means connect. I overthoudht it and thought it was opposite.
Thanks everyone for your input.
