I have a 24v battery bank (6v lead acid batteries in series/parallel). The shunt manual par. 9 has instruction for a mid point wiring in a bank. can I connect the negative stud of the last battery (from here the wire goes to the loads) in the bank, to the stud of the shunt, or the mid point wiring is compulsory? besides I have an existing monitor with shunt I want to keep. Any problem with 2 shunts?
Midpoint monitoring is important to know battery health in a built bank.
Do you have battery balancers or a way to check your cells are all going to be charged right.
You shouldn’t have a problem with two shunts of they are installed correctly
no balancer. but instructions requires a bus bar i do not have. what if i connect to the last battery stud?
