The BMS does not switch on and the system does not work. The BMS was replaced but still no response from the BMS. The installation sequence was strictly done to specification and all the items can be seen on the Victron connect app except the BMS. The control cables between the BMS and the DC to DC, inverter and battery protect is installed but is not shown on the diagram. Battery fully charged.
Hi Mike, I found the problem: The power from the vehicle battery goes first to a dc to dc charger and then to the bms. I had the wiring configured to control the dc to dc charger by the bms. This creates a catch 22 situation and it seems that this cannot be done in this case. The bms remains off if the input voltage is to low and therefore cannot switch the dc to dc charger on. I bridged the remote switch plug on the dc to dc charger and disconected the wire from the bms. Everything is working fine, the dc to dc charger remains on and is not controlled by the bms. It supplies 14+v when the car is running which switches the bms on.
Thanks, Garnet
