Smart Battery Protect - dual switches to disable

Hi,
I am using a Victron Smart Battery Protect in my system and would like to know if the H and L terminals can BOTH be used to form a dual method of disabling the unit, the manual says"

" 1. A remote on/off switch can be connected between Remote H and Remote L. Alternatively, terminal H can be switched high (to battery positive), or terminal L can be switched low (to battery negative)."

BUT does not mention if I can use both or the terminals and if either one matches the required voltage the unit will be disabled.
Thanks in advance.
Cheers
Mal

If you connect battery positive to H the unit switches on. If you connect battery negative to L the unit switches on. If nothing is connected to H or L the unit is off. Therefore, the logical conclusion is you can use independent switches.

You have the switching the opposite way, apply voltage = on, disconnect voltage = off, this is so it is fail safe disconnect, if a wire comes loose the unit disconnects.
