BMS2 and Battery Protect

The Balmar 160A alternator output is thru the Battery Protect, via an ARGO FET. The BMS2 is connected to the H terminal on the Battery Protect. I can use the Victron App to disenagage the Battery protect when i might need maximum engine output. the alternator always sees the Start battery so is protected.
The Victron app is not 100% reliable & sometimes struggles to see the Bluetooth devices. can i fix a manual switch to the L side of the Battery Protect to activate, bearing in mind the BMS2 is on the H side ?
