Does anyone know what the pictured crimp terminals for an RCBO earth reference cable are called? I’m shortening the wires as they are way too long as supplied and I need to reterminate them. You can probably make out from the photo that the conductor is folded back along the insulation before crimping. Thanks.
I’m pretty sure they are designed length so should not be altered in the way you propose. I would seek guidance from the manufacturer of the product if they say yes and put it in writing your good to go and then you could ask them about using Ferrells if they say yes references can be shortened, most RCBO’s done away with references leads compared to when they came out
As a voltage reference connection I don’t see how the length can matter but I’ll try asking the manufacturer as you suggest.
Cut & solder bare wire end is one solution
