I have a very practical question and I have searched on the web trying to find an answer. I only found that more people had noticed the problem, but no solutions.
To connect cables of a certain thickness into the MPPT controller and also other devices of Victron, it is really difficult. The cables don’t fit into the small connection points.
Last time I was using cables of 6mm², as recommended.
Now is a next time and I want to fit the cables in there nice and good, professionally. How do I do that?
Insulated ferrules with a plastic collar. The collar provides personal protection and ensures the ferrule is not inserted too deeply into the connector.
Dual wire ferrules for two wires with a plastic collar. These are used when two wires must be inserted into a single connector.
Cable lugs are available for every cable size with a wide range of available hole diameters. For closed connectors it might be helpful to use a crimp pin connector for connections of oversized wires.
Thank you both for your answers. I have been learning more about the correct use of the ferrules and the crimp connector certainly looks interesting. Thank you!
