Shelly Plus RGBW PM channels cannot be enabled persistently in Venus OS v3.80~39

I noticed a problem with my Shelly Plus RGBW PM when used with Venus OS.

My setup:

  • Victron Venus OS: v3.80~39
  • Shelly Plus RGBW PM
  • Shelly firmware: v2.0.0 (20260710-101142/2.0.0-g87fbfa4)

Venus OS correctly discovers the Shelly Plus RGBW PM and displays all four channels.

However, when I enable any of the channels in the Venus OS Shelly integration, the change appears to be accepted only temporarily. After leaving the menu and reopening it, the channel is shown as “Disabled” again.
This suggests that the channel enabled/disabled state is not being persisted by Venus OS.
As a result, I am unable to enable or use the individual channels through Venus OS.

The individual channels could be enabled successfully in the past. I became aware of this issue after upgrading the Shelly firmware to version 2.0.0. However, I cannot conclude that the firmware upgrade is the cause, since I did not verify this functionality immediately before and after the upgrade.
Please let me know if you need any additional information or logs.

Confirmed here. The RGBW modules don’t persist and don’t appear in the quick panel. Same with beta 80~36. They work on the latest non beta version but only with the first channel of course.

Hi, I’m experiencing the same thing. Is it still under development, and when can we expect it to start working?

Hi @mikisound

Thanks for reporting

I’ve looked into this issue and indeed found that the RGBW PM behaves differently with firmware version v2.0.0. On my end, it works with v1.7.1, but no longer works with 2.0.0.

This will be fixed soon.

I found that updating to 2.0.x breaks the simple MQTT command topic on that model.

With update 3.80~45, it works perfectly now. Many thanks

Yes, this issue should be fixed in ~45.
Thanks for the confirmation.
