Running 2 quatros 48/5000 for 240 split phase

Hi everyone,

So, I bought a Quattro 48/5000 around a year ago to replace my old mastervolt 3000 inverter/charger. I haven’t installed it yet, as we decided to go with 2 units for split phase. Will my Quattro model #1100 work with a newly purchased 1102? And what if anything is different between the two?

AFAIK Victron does not publish hardware change details. Only firmware changes.

All units in one system must be the same type and firmware version; this includes same size, system voltage, and feature set. The type is indicated by the first four digits of the firmware version number.

The firmware version number prefixes need to match. Its possible that both model 1100 and 1102 share the same 2753xxx firmware. You would need to compare those.

Is that number on the box somewhere?

The only number I can find on the label besides the serial is the model QUA485021100

PN ending in 1102 has a UL listing, while PN ending in 1100 does not - that’s the difference between the two.

In theory they’re both the 2753 processor, though, which should make them able to be updated to matching FW and put in parallel as long as they meet the compatibility specs detailed in the manual @chrigu linked.
