Remote console New version URL

Through the VRM portal I can launch in my browser the new remote conole (app?) as an overlay to the VRM website.

Anybody found how to launch this in a separate browser window (without the VRM site background)? It would allow it to run in a browser kiosmode on a dedicated toutchscreen.

Are you aware of this (maybe that does already what you want to do)

Otherwise i dont think thats possible (currently) due to changed CORS policies

aaah the CORS will kill my idea indeed.

Will go the GX-Wifi route but only have a Amazon Fire lying arround and not sure it will take the APK route.

Cant you browse to the local ip adres of the gx and select gui 2 in the remote console? That works great for me, or use the suggested android gx display method, thats noce too

It should be accessible at https://venus.local/gui-v2/ (or by using the IP of the GX-device or even http:// instead of https://) from within your home-network.
If the GX-device is connected by wifi, make sure your wifi-router allows connections to/between wifi devices! A lot of modern ones deny this by default. LAN cables should always work and some routers can be configured to allow connections → wifi devices.

Yes i can connect directly but I noticed the GX Multiplus “crashes” frequently when I have both the VRM portal open and the direct connection to the console. No idea why but it is happening frequently. Hence I tried to limit to one connection method.

I’ve got an old Android phone that I use to connect to direct (Cerbo GX access point turned on).

Then my Cerbo GX also connects onto another WiFi network (my phone’s hotspot)

I don’t often use the standard dashboard as I’ve set up node-red to control system.

It works lovely, so much that I rarely use my Cerbo GX screen as my phones are always closer.

Ordered a cheap 70 EUR android tablet and choose the GX Wifi route, works like a charm compared to my “sideloaded Amazon Fire” with Fkiosk, got the Fire setup to work but it was not very stable.
