Accessing Victron Cerbo gui-v2 Remotely (not on same network)

Howdy Victron users,

I would like to know if it is possible to access the Victron Cerbo GX gui-v2 screen remotely whilst not on the same network? I can already access the VRM on my iOS remotely - whilst not on the same network. I was just wondering if it is possible to enable port forwarding of the Cerbo’s IP via my router so that I can access the gui-v2 whilst dislocated from the same network or indeed separated from the unit itself (eg. not hot-spotting via my mobile).

Thanks for your help in this matter,

Regards, Mick

The gui is accessible anywhere via VRM - remote console.
It requires a realtime connection and the user to have the right access profile.

All in the manual:

G’day Nick,

Thanks for your prompt reply.

I have ‘full’ access selected on the VRM Portal Access Level, what I am trying to replicate is the Gui screen as if you’re looking at the GX screen itself (see attached), however, I am trying to do this function remotely. It works fine if I am on the same Wi-Fi network (on PC or iOS), or if the GX is connected to my mob via hotspot. Cheers again, Mick

You can get it as a pop-out on vrm like so - is this not what you are expecting?

did you try that with port 80?

ir should work, but is a security issue

Do not port forward the interface, it is a seriously bad idea for security.
If needs must, rather config a vpn.
