Hi, I have 2 x smartsolar regulators and a smartshunt. A raspberry Pi running signalk receives data from these over BLE which has been working full time for about a year. A day or so ago this became very erratic with long gaps in data coming in both in signalk and sudo btmon. This may well have coincided with updating the victron firmware. I have a .dup file to roll back but can’t find any way to load it into the victron using the connect app. Any suggestions? Thnx.
It can be done iver the VRM under the firmware update tab.
With Victron connect you will need the ve direct to usb to do so. As far as i know it cannot be done over the BT connection.
And the method will depend on device used and is the same as using a self supplied firmware.
Thanks so much for the quick reply. Istr it has to be VE direct / usb, just a serial usb won’t work. I’ll order one. Thanks again ![]()
An update on this, seems it wasn’t the victron update that broke BLE coming into raspberry pi 5 running signalk, looks very much like it was an apt update , possibly libglib2.0-0. So not a Victron issue really, though signalk & Victron are a popular team on boats - is it worth asking around on here? Thnx
Might be worth making a new post and seeing if anyone else has bumped into the issue.
