Quattro turning off… for no reason?

I have a 48/15000 with Cerbo GX, 32kWh of lithium batteries (Chinese) and a 30kVA diesel generator.

For some reason the Quattro switches from On to Off seemingly at random.

It occurs around 3 or 4 times a day and I cannot command it to turn back on. In the VRM the switch can be changed to on but the status remains off.

The only way I have been able to get it back to life is by commanding the generator to start. That seems to then bring it back to life. I am new to Victron so just learning! Not sure where to start troubleshooting the system. Any help would be much appreciated!

Are you connected to the grid or off-grid? Are you AC coupled or DC coupled? Your batteries should be keeping your 48V 15000 alive unless they are running out of juice and thus you are needing the generator to kickstart the inverter again and charge the batteries a little until sun is out and taking over charging your batteries from there on again.

Its possible the Chinese bms is going into a sleep or disconnect mode.

The fact that the system has to be recovered from an ac start confirms that the dc supply is not doing to do…

Do you have anything other than the Quattro to check on the state of the batteries immediately after this happens?
