The Quattro 12/120 does not go into Bulk mode anymore on the Cerbo GX, only INVERTING. Why is that? The Batteries still appear to charge, but the mode never changes to BULK on the Cerbo GX, even when the batteries are at 50% and the Solar is putting in 1300 Watts, so I’m not sure that it matters, but I’m curious why this has changed.
The Quattro 12/120 on our boat have 1600 Watts of solar into a Victron 500Amp smart shunt into the Quattro. then to 1500 Amp/Hr Lithium bank.
When we had the system installed, the MPPTs would only go into bulk mode briefly (10 minutes), and then into ABSORBTION mode, and the batteries would never fully charge. I installed a battery sense on the battery bank in August 2024 and created a smart network with the MPPTs and that seemed to resolve the issue.
Now, in April 2025, the batteries still charge, and the MPPTs are in sync with the battery bank, but, recently, inn the past BULK mode is never displayed on the Cerbo GX or VRM Portal. Any idea why that might be? Is that something I need to fix? I just would like to know.
