Hey group - wondering if anyone has seen this one…
We’ve installed a Cerbo GX with 6 (100 amp) LiPo4 batteries. Each individual battery is controlled by its own 100 Balance Daly BMS. Charging is done through a Multiplus and we have solar (controlled by Victron MPPT’s) - which is our main source of charging as we are cruising full time.
Everything has been working great EXCEPT that when we use amps overnight and the solar starts charging in the morning (or the alternator when we start the engine), the Cerbo GX immediately jumps to 100% battery status, even though the batteries are NOT anywhere near 100%. We can monitor the battery status via the Daly app - so we can see the exact charge of each battery. This happens regardless of whether it’s via solar, the genset, shore power or the alternator.
Has anyone seen this happen to them? We do not have the Daly’s reporting via the Cerbo - so the Cerbo is only getting information on battery SOC via the shunt.
Any thoughts on what might be happening? I’m wondering if it might just be a setting that needs tweaking or something? It’s not a huge deal (since we can monitor via the Daly app), but it would be nice to be able to rely on the percentage showing on the GX Touchscreen.
Thanks -
Brett
