Problems with a Multiplus-II 48V-8000VA-Inverter 230V when used with a generator

I had an old Victron inverter that worked fin with my generator for a few years. Then the inverter had a serious issue and I replaced it by the new 48V Multiplus-II 8000VA.

The system has a few solar panels and a few 48V batreries. When the batteries go down to 25% of its charge, there is a signal sent by the inverter to the generator to order it to start working. And then, when the batteries reach a charge og 50% another order is sent to stop the generator.

The old generator always accepted the energy of my generator. The new one has an erratic behaviour. Sometimes it receives the energy from the generator well. Sometimes it accepts the energy from the generator only for a few minutes. Sometimes it does not accept the energy from the generator.

I checked the generator and the output voltage when working varies from 221 to 230V (typically 226), the RPMs are varying between 1508 and 1546 rpm, the frequency varies between 51,3 and 51,6 Hz and the voltage between earth and neutral is much less than 3 volts.

Maybe some Victron technician or a user, can help me to find out what maybe the cause of this problem helping me to correct it.

Thank you for your help.

The MP2s are a bit fussier than the older units. Newer standards and all that comes with it.

How many of the above have you worked through?
