Hello everyone,
I’m trying to resolve a communication problem between my MultiPlus-II 48/3000/35-32 and Venus OS (running on a Raspberry Pi) via an MK3-USB interface.
Here’s the context and what I’ve done so far:
-
Hardware: MultiPlus-II 3000, Raspberry Pi (latest Venus OS), MK3-USB. (Note: battery data comes through the CAN bus without any problems; the issue is purely on the VE.Bus side.)
-
Original problem: I discovered that the battery had stopped charging and discharging, and saw that the MultiPlus was no longer available in VRM either (last seen 14 hours ago).
Fixes tried:
-
Replaced the network cable and tried tested network cables.
-
Replaced the Raspberry Pi’s power supply (the Pi was showing an undervoltage warning).
-
Connected via VictronConnect. It didn’t detect the MultiPlus, but a forced firmware update to v568 reset everything to factory settings.
-
However, I still can’t establish a connection. I can’t connect with VE.Config either: it does connect, but shows lots of pop-ups about “incorrect” settings and ends with a communication error (communication error).
-
I used VE.Flash to downgrade the firmware by one version, but got the same result.
Current situation:
So I can update and downgrade the firmware, but afterwards I can’t connect to change the settings.
Does anyone have any other ideas about what I can try?
