Hi All,
I’ve been having this issue with the Orion. Everything was working fine for months, then got this :
I did the following, after looking at some other similar post:
Did a firmware update. I think I was at 1.0.7, now at 1.11
Removed all power/wires, waited a few minutes then reconnected/restarted everything.
Tried to reset/remove the errors through the app on my phone connected to BT.
So, in the end, I’m still getting those filling my screen.
Is there something else to try? If not, how do I get an RMA?
Thanks!
Simon

If its connected to a cerbo over ve.direct…try without.
Else its clearly fit for RMA

Ok, here’s my next steps in testing.
I put the battery to 90%
I will travel today with the van and see if the Orion recharges the battery properly
I will see if I get some error messages during this test
Conclusion.
I got this error while driving.
The Current was going up for a few seconds, then the error, then pause for a few seconds and looping.
I also have clicks (relay) in the Orion, on a regular, around a click per seconds.
For now, I have disconnected the ve.direct cable for now, to stop having those message on the screen of the cerbo GX.
I will contact the vendor to get a replacement.
Thanks for all the help.

Justin, you linked to a product support page. Do I need to have an official support request before asking the vendor for the RMA?
Thanks!

You don’t, but the distributor contact information is linked on that page for your convenience, as I entered your serial number into the page already.

Here is the official ReleaseNote for 1.07:
Known issue
When the battery voltage gets above the output voltage target, there is a chance that the Orion XS will generate an internal short and fail. Error #28 might be triggered in such a case, which is an indication that the charger is faulty.

Here’s the inside! 4 components, probably large transistors, exploded!
Why?
The Orion worked for months with no issues in my Van. Same setup, nothing changed.
I’m getting a replacement today.
