Hi guys,
I am planning to configure offgrid 3 phase system with 3pcs MULTIPLUS 2 3000VA in Virtual Switch mode using Power control and Power Assist.
I would like to use ac coupled PV Inverter for single phase support.
I use both 3ph and 1ph appliances and also the 3ph Victron system works asymmetrically. So why is this condition there? Because of this my plan is not to use a 3ph symmetrical ongrid inverter…
Why is this it not possible to control the power according to the conditions of the assistant “PV inverter Support”?
It is possible to control the pv inverter if it resonds to frequency control.
You cant mix virtual switch and pv assistant. You have to disable VS to use assistants. So you will need to find another way to ignore grid to be offgrid if that is what you are doing.
With assymetrical loads while the battery is needing charging the excess of the lower load phases charge up when you have three ohase ac pv.
One thing to note is you do need some DC PV in offgrid set ups. And if you have items in the houshold that have issues with different frequency (like some led lights) you will experience things you may not like. Like lights flickering.
Thanks for the answer.
I’m not happy with the flicker problems, but I’m new to Victron and have no experience…
My idea was to use only microinverters in conjunction with Multis (each on one phase), without using a separate DC MPPT regulator …
If this is not recommended, I will have to come up with a different system design…
I wanted to connect the grid only in case of low battery voltage (SOC), or overload…
