I have almost no experience with Node Red and have no technical computing background. Every morning I cannot connect to the dashboard (Dashboard 2.0). The system will also not connect to Node Red. I can log into the Cerbo standard interface and can read all devices. It will connect to Node Red in safe mode and when it is deployed to restart flows it consistently shows “Lost connection to server. Reconnecting…” .
Yesterday I reinstalled Cerbo GX firmware V 3.72 back to normal mode and then re-installed Venus OS Large. I reinstalled my backup of flows and deployed. All worked during the day. The flows are just the standard device data with a couple of the flows using the “Sum inputs node” which was imported to the pallet along with Fuseflow Dashboard 2 nodes.
The one issue I have had during the day was that the when the older MPPT 150/100 went into “float” and displayed zero watt output the SUM function somehow became corrupted and displayed a total which was not the sum of the inputs, it was always far greater. ( I usually have 1 MPPT in absorption and 2 MPPTs in float - The 150/45 will display a small watt output but the older MPPT will display a 0 watt output). I changed the older 150/100 MPPT to have a virtual load when the unit was between 59V and 54V. Somehow it seemed to keep the recorded output active and even though the watts displayed was zero, the sum of the watts of the 3 MPPTs then remained correct.
I only other issue is the SUM of the kWh will at various times displays 17 decimal places. The individual inputs are set to 2 decimal places. The attached screenshot shows both the decimal place display and the incorrect sum of the MPPT watt inputs. The LG Watts is the older 150/100, the TR Watts is the newer 150/100 and the SP watts is the newer 150/45.
That is all the information that I have been able to glean from the system behaviour.
Does anyone have any suggestions so that the Node Red/dashboard can load consistently in the morning when I start my computer?
System is off grid with ;
Smartshunt 500 IP65, MPPT 150/45, 150/100. Cerbo GX, 5 Energy Meters, 3 Solar sense 750 - all less than 6 months old.
1xMPPT 150/100 which is 7 years old.
Inverters are SMA Sunny Islands SI06 and SI08 which are not integrated to the Cerbo GX.
Connection is ethernet Cat 5e via a switch then to Teltonika Router. VRM connection is read only. The router is rebooted every morning at 0400 hrs. The internet connection is a 5G connection averaging 300 Mbps with very good signal strength.
