No wifi with Ekrano

We have two brand new Ekrano side by side sharing the same VE.can network…
One has no problem detecting all the wifi networks. The second did at one point have wifi access and we were able to connect via VRM. But it suddenly lost all wifi connection. On the wifi network selection page it shows no wifi network available…

Why are you connecting two Ekranos together via can?
Only one should be connected to the vrm if using it to extend io.
[See the manual] point 4.(5. Connecting supported non-Victron products).

Hi LX,
sorry did not see your response before.
We are using 2 Ekranos because we are designing a redundant system. Each control its own Multiplus via DVCC. They share the Ve.can because they both need to read data from an MG MX multiplexer unit for the redundant battery system.
We are only using Victron supported hardware and we are not trying to extend io’s. We did not set the Device ID to be different. We did not enable NMEA-out or the MQTT functionality on either unit. From the manual, you refer to this would make one unit slave of the other.

The two unit should be totally independent on the VRM. Each unit has its own independent VRM ID and should have independent sites. We want two independent Units just sharing the same NMEA bus.

Technically, Wifi detection should be totally independent of the rest. One of the unit does not discover any Wifi.

So short of hardware issue what else can be the issue?
