Hello everybody,
I’ve noticed a strange behaviour with my two Victron installations… both are in the same LAN and installed in the same room, the rest is completely different.
The first system is the combination of a Cerbo GX, MultiPlus II 5000, a SmartSolar MPPT 150/35 and 2 Pylontech US2000C - a 48 V System.
The second system is a 12 V system: A Raspi3 with VenusOS installed, a Renogy LiFePo4 Battery and 2 SmartSolar 100/20 and a BlueSolar 75/15.
The first system’s web gui is reachable through 10.10.4.51/gui-v1/ - everything seems to be fine. But when i call 10.10.4.51/gui-v2/ - there is the data of the second system displayed!
And vice versa - the second system uses 10.10.4.52/gui-v1/ for the traditional GUI, but 10.10.4.52/gui-v2/ shows the parameters of system 1!!!
How can that be? Until the firmware update to v3.52 everything worked fine. But now, when I try to switch on the MultiPlusII there is a low battery alarm - it seems as it receives the 13,20 V of the second systems, because the Pylontechs Voltage is 49,8 V - which is far away from being too low…
I checked the VRM portal - both systems are displayed correctly with the right devices - but somehow there seems to be data interchanged between the foreign devices.
Does anybody have a clue or a hint for me for debugging this strange behaviour?
That sounds strange. What happens, when you turn the pi off, does /v2/ now display the correct system or nothing? (And vice-versa)
Ip is static?
Good point… actually, when i plug off the raspberry, no data on /v2/ is displayed on the cerbo.
/v1/ shows the correct data as before…
The other way round is kinda interesting… Cerbo offline, the raspi on /v1/ shows its own data and on /v2/ it shows the voltage of the Pylontech batteries.
As the batteries communicate via BMS CAN, there must be another way of communication. Maybe through Bluetooth? I configured VE.Smart Networking for the second system (Raspi), but with a different ID.
There is a VE.Smart Network with ID xx9e - currently the only device in the network is the MPPT 150/35 (the second one is not installed yet).
The other VE.Smart Network has ID xxdd and consists of the two MPPT 100/20.
I have no idea where the data could be coming from… the gui says 93 % for SOC, even the VRM portal has another value - 97 %. So this cannot be the origin.
It’s so strange…
That is strange, we have 5 GXs in our home network and don’t have that issue at all with GUI v2
(Static ips)
Sounds like some cross talk.
You should look at simplifying.
Sorry, i forgot - yes, static ips.
Cross talk… but on which channel? How does the gui communicate? The log says “websocket-mqtt”. Maybe it gets the wrong id, but why and how does this affect both systems?
I have no idea there.
Definitely keen to hear if you figure it out though.
But look at removing this if they are connected to the gxs.
