I’m installing a new Lynx M10 busbar system. Power in, Shunt, Distributor, Distributor, Distributor.
On initial start-up, with the big busbar link in the shunt, all the LEDs were lit as expected. (All green except two positions w/o fuses.)
Then I shut it down and removed the link to install a fuse and more batteries. Now there are no LEDs lit anywhere on the Lynx, including the shunt. All the RJ cables are attached. There is 14.3 VDC power across the busbar (Multiplus is attached and on shore power.)
Reversing the action (i.e. putting the busbar link back in place) has no effect.
Any ideas for further testing? It appears as if the shunt died after one use. I have seen some references to an “internal fuse” but as far as I can tell this is referring to the main fuse on the positive bus.
I wondered if somehow power was momentarily applied while the link was open (multiplus on one side, batteries on the other) and somehow damaged the unit. But this should simply be analogous to a blown fuse - which should be within the expected operating conditions.
